Flat Rock Dam Betterment Construction Tour
Wednesday, September 11, 2024 from 3:30 PM to 4:30 PM EST
Cost: FREE for Professionals and Students
Join us for a tour of the Flat Rock Dam Betterment site that will reconnect the Manayunk Canal with the Schuylkill River at Flat Rock Dam to improve local water quality. The work includes the construction of new structures, improvement of existing structures, and preservation of historic elements at the Feeder Gate House building. A new intake system will control the flow of water into the canal as needed.
The engineer from PWD will lead the tour through the site & discuss the aspects of design & construction.

ASCE Philly YMF Annual Phillies Game & Tailgate
Friday, September 13, 2024 - Tailgate begins at 4:30 PM EST & Game begins at 6:40 PM EST
Cost: $42.00 (Game + Tailgate) or $10.00 (Tailgate Only) for Professionals and Students
Join us for our annual Phillies Game and Tailgate as the Philadelphia Phillies face off against the New York Mets. The tailgate will be located in Lot M (see map in flyer). A game ticket, food, and non-alcoholic beverages will be provided. Attendees must be 21+ to purchase and/or consume alcohol
NEW THIS YEAR: The YMF is offering Tailgate-Only tickets in addition to the traditional Phillies Game & Tailgate tickets. Please select which option you would like, and we can't wait to see you there!

K-12 Outreach Events
Join us at Philadelphia area schools to share Civil Engineering with students from grades K through 12. Please reach out to us at ASCEPhilaYMFK12@gmail.com if you are interested in participating! If you are interested in an event outside of Philadelphia, but are not able to arrange transportation, please reach out and we can coordinate a carpool from Center City. No prior K-12 outreach experience is necessary to volunteer. All presentations and supplies are provided!
