TTF Watershed Tree Planting
Saturday, October 19, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM EST
Location: The Abington Club (300 Meetinghouse Road, Jenkintown, PA 19046)
Cost: FREE for Professionals and Students
With the guidance of the TTF watershed, volunteers will plant trees along the headwaters to the Shoemaker Run Creek at the Abington Club Golf Course. This is an extension of the work that TTF Watershed has been doing at the club this year, including quite a bit of streambank work. Funding for this tree planting comes from the Healing the Planet grant through Keep Pennsylvania beautiful and Giant. Volunteers will meet at the upper part of the parking lot. The rain date is Sunday October 20.
The Abington Club is accessible by the Lansdale-Doylestown Regional Rail Line, Warminster Regional Rail Line, West Trenton Regional Rail line, and Bus Routes 55 and 77. The 77 Bus picks passengers up from the Jenkintown-Wyncote Train Station to nearby Old York Road & Pavilion Drive bus stop, a 5 minute walk to the meeting location.
For more details and to register RSVP here. Please, contact Christian Antisell (christianantisell@gmail.com) or Kevin Malley (kmalley13@outlook.com) with any questions.
