  • Annual Critical Issues Seminar -
Tuesday, April 22, 2025 from 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM EST
Location: Glory Beer Bar & Kitchen (126 Chestnut St, Philadelphia, PA 19106)
Cost: FREE for Students; $15 for Professionals

Please join the ASCE Philadelphia YMF for our Annual Critical Issues Seminar highlighting and providing additional insights to our members about a current and relevant civil engineering topic. This year's topic features Philadelphia 2026, the 250th Anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence. This monumental celebration comes with a significant influx of people, but it doesn't stop there...

In 2026, Philadelphia will also be hosting the Navy & Marine Corps 250th Celebration, NCAA March Madness, the MLB All-Star Game, the PGA Championship, and the FIFA World Cup and FIFA Fan Festival. Together, these events will greatly affect the civil engineering infrastructure in our community. We have assembled a panel to discuss the preparatory efforts and potential impacts to the City of Philadelphia during this exciting time! Attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions during the Q&A session. One (1) PDH is anticipated for this event. Our panel will be announced at a later date.

Food and non-alcoholic beverages will be provided! A cash bar will be available for attendees ages 21+ and older. The venue is accessible via SEPTA Bus Routes 21 and 42, the Market-Frankford Line. A surface parking lot is located at Front & Chestnut Street and the nearest parking garage is located at 116 N Front St.

Please RSVP by Tuesday, April 22, 2025. The event has a capacity of 50 people. See the flyer for additional details.
