On April 23, the YMF coordinated a construction tour of the PennDOT SR202 Section 300 Widening & Improvement Project. Construction on US Route 202 continues on the southbound side along the entire 6.5 mile Section 300 work area that stretches from just south of the Swedesford Road/Route 252 Interchange in Tredyffrin Township to the US Route 30/Exton Bypass Interchange in East Whiteland Township, Chester County. The project has a combined cost of approximately $250 million. Attendees were able to gain information from representatives of R.E.Pierson(Section 320 GC), Alan Myers (Section 330 GC), Urban Engineers (CM) & M. Baker (Designer) and tour the on-going construction activity to replace the southbound side of US 202. The project presentation and project site tour allowed the attendees to see the variable construction stages of concrete slip-form paving, grading, low mobility grouting, class c cement concrete formwork, temporary shoring, ITS, utility, bridge replacement, soil nail wall, retaining wall, post/panel and an AngleWallTM sound wall construction.
