On Saturday, January 25, 2014, seven YMF volunteers participated in the annual Future City Competition at SAP America's campus in Newtown Square, PA. The Future City Competition encourages 6th thru 8th grade students to develop their concept of a Future City. The students plan their city around key issues, such as transportation, safety, and sustainability, then develop a model to showcase their concept. The students' imagination and creativity is the limit. With 28 schools competing in this year's local competition, the event was a huge success.
