On Thursday, August 8th 2013, the Philadelphia ASCE YMF along with South Jersey ASCE YMF hosted a construction tour of the Gloucester County Improvement Authority (GCIA) and South Jersey Port Corporation (SJPC) construction project at the Paulsboro Marine Terminal located at 303 Mantua Avenue, Paulsboro, New Jersey. The project is to construct a new 8 span, 900 ft long bridge over Mantua Creek and a proposal for a new 3/4 mile access road. The host of the tour was Darryl Eng (AECOM), provided by a coworker of Kazi Hassan (Pennoni).
After the construction tour, attendees made their way over to Owen's Riverside Inn, approximately a mile away, for a joint happy hour provided by Philadelphia YMF and South Jersey YMF.
