On March 21st, 2013, the YMF hosted a happy hour and professional development event with PSPE Delaware County at Sligo Irish Pub in Media, PA. This event is held by the PSPE yearly however this year YMF jointly sponsored the event. The event was very successful and the venue was perfect for the situation.
The event started off with a happy hour from 5-6pm which allowed people to talk and network. After the happy hour a brief introduction to the event was given by Eammon Farley (on behalf of the YMF) and Wayne Droesser (on behalf of the PSPE). Presentations then went from 6pm to approximately 7:30pm. A brief 2 minute break was given after each presentation which allowed for people to get up and go to the bar or get food. The three speakers who talked for about 20-25 minutes each about a wide range of projects were Brittany Hackman from Pennoni, Lou Hufnagle from the Delaware County Planning Department, and Kevin Kianka from Haag 3D Solutions.
