On January 30, 2012, the YMF hosted its 16th Annual YMF Winter Social. The event was once again a huge success, with a record breaking attendance of 199 engineers and their guests. Everyone enjoyed hanging out with their coworkers, catching up with colleagues, and meeting other young engineers and students. Our student members took advantage of the opportunity to meet engineers from around the area, learn about local companies, and discuss career goals and opportunities.
During the event, YMF members sold raffle tickets for prizes donated from local companies. The prizes included movie tickets, Sixers tickets, and various restaurant gift cards. In a troubled economy, our sponsors stepped up and collectively donated more prizes than ever! The large number of prizes resulted in record breaking raffle sales and will allow us to donate $250 to the Future Cities Competition and $1,577 to Philabundance! Thank you to everyone who contributed.
