12th Annual Winter Social

   
On January 28, 2007, the YMF held their 12th Annual Winter Social back at our original home, McGillin's Olde Ale House, in Center City Philadelphia. The event was a wild success with nearly 200 people attending making it, by far, the largest turnout for a Winter Social, or any Philadelphia ASCE event, to date. For those of you that attended, we want to thank you for your support and we hope to see you again next year.

The event was also a huge success in terms of our annual charity raffle. The raffle featured well over $1,800 in prizes this year and raised a significant amount of money to Philabundance Food Bank and the Future City Competition. We wish to express our sincerest gratitude towards the companies that contributed to the success of this charity event; a list of those companies that we wish to thank can be found here. The planning for this event was a huge undertaking, especially due to the size of the event and the change of venue back to McGillin's. The event was setup and planned by most of the board members, with significant time and effort from the Winter Social Committee: Joe Platt, Cathy Golata, Don Gusic, Mike Wagner and Jeremy Chrzan.
