On March
14, 2007, the YMF and Engineers Club of Philadelphia co-sponsored the
annual Critical Issues Seminar at the Elephant & Castle Pub. This year's
topic was "Politics in Engineering and featured a distinguished
panel of four local/regional/national engineers. The event was attended
by approximately 30 people and it appeared that everyone found the discussion
to be very informative regarding the influences and practices of engineers
within the political arena as well as practical advice about how to
help bring about changes. The event was setup by Chris Shaeffer and
Dave Petrucci, the Professional Development Chairs. Additional information
