On December
2nd, 2006, a few brave souls braved the cold weather to volunteer in
conjunction with the Wissahickon
Restoration Volunteers organization. During the day, they removed
invasive vines like Japanese honeysuckle that have wrapped themselves
around native established shrubs and trees. They also removed the exotic
Devil's walking stick/Japanese angelica tree. The event was setup by
Steve Gault, the YMF Community Service Chair.
