Executive Board:

President - Chris Renfro, E.I.T.

Chris graduated from Drexel University in 2008 with a Bachelor of Science in both Architectural and Civil Engineering. Currently, he is a structural engineer for the City of Philadelphia in the Department of Streets, working towards his Professional Engineer's license as an Engineer in Training. At the City he has been engaged with the design and construction of projects such as South Street Bridge, 40th & 41st Street Bridges, ARRA funded TIGER Bridges & Trails, and multiple varying emergency repair jobs. His responsibilities include structural design, construction inspection, project/asset management, as well as facilitating the Department's transportation-related consultant professional services contract program and issuing hauling permits for oversized/overweight trucks and Super Loads. In addition to serving as President in 2008 for the local student chapter of the Architectural Engineering Institute (AEI), he is heavily involved in judging the AISC Student Steel Bridge Competition each year at the Mid-Atlantic Regionals.

In his spare time, as an Eagle Scout, he enjoys any outdoor activity including cycling, snowboarding, skiing, waterskiing, playing soccer, tennis, bass guitar, and attending Phillies/Flyers games...and the occasional vertical flight.

Vice President - Kevin Brown, E.I.T.

Kevin graduated from Widener University with Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering in 2009 and he went on to obtain his Masters of Engineering degree in Civil Engineering from Widener in 2014. Kevin is currently working for Urban Engineers in their construction services department as a construction manager on PennDOT’s Spring Garden Street Bridge project and their Route 1 Bridge Reconstruction project. Kevin is also a structures supervisor on the PennDOT GR1 project located in the Port Richmond section of Philadelphia. Mr. Brown currently serves as the ASCE Practitioner Advisor for both Widener and Temple University and he serves on the board of the ACE Mentor Program where he mentors high school students in the fields of architecture, construction and engineering.

Kevin is an active member of the Engineers’ Club of Philadelphia where he chairs the Club’s Student Engagement Committee, Committee on Younger Members, and the Delaware Valley Engineers Week Young Engineers Social Committee. He is also a member of the National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE) and the Construction Management Association of America (CMAA).

Kevin enjoys bowling, laser tag, paint ball and hanging out with friends and family.

Secretary - Allie Sedor, P.E.

Allie works for Jacobs, where she has been a member of the design management team for the PA Turnpike/I-95 Interchange project for over a year. Prior to joining the staff at Jacobs, Allie served for 7 years in the Transportation Division at Pennoni Associates. Allie graduated from the Pennsylvania State University with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, and is a registered Professional Engineer in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. This is her fourth year on the YMF Board, after serving as Social Media Chair (2 years) and Professional Development Chair (1 year). She currently resides in the Bella Vista section of the city with her boyfriend, whom she met at the YMF’s own Winter Social.

Treasurer - Nha Truong

Nha currently works at Philadelphia Water where he serves as an Environmental Engineer for the Flood Risk Management Program. He earned his B.S. in Civil Engineering at Villanova University in 2010 and continued his education as a graduate research assistant at Villanova, completing a M.S. in Civil Engineering with a focus in Water Resources Engineering in 2012, and writing his Master’s thesis under Dr. Robert Traver as part of the Villanova Urban Stormwater Partnership program. Starting in the Fall of 2015, Nha will be pursing his MBA degree part time in the evening at the Villanova School of Business with an expected graduation date of Fall 2017.

In addition to being the current Treasurer for the ASCE Philly YMF, Nha also serves as the Membership Secretary for the ASCE Philadelphia Section and the Social Chair for the American Water Resources Association (AWRA).

In his spare time, Nha enjoys being involved with various competitive soccer leagues and outdoor activities during warm weather.

Communications Committee (Chaired by Secretary):

Awards Chair - Scott Cepietz, P.E.

Scott is a civil engineer in the transportation department at Michael Baker International. Scott graduated from Widener University in 2009 with a BS in Civil Engineering and completed his Master’s degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering from Villanova University in 2014. Scott has worked on many projects for PennDOT including highway relocations, highway restoration, and intersection improvements. Scott is currently the lead highway engineer for corridor and intersection improvements along SR 222 in Berks County for PennDOT District 5-0 along with projects for the City of Philadelphia and the PA Turnpike Commission. Some of his past projects include SR 441 Relocation Project in the Borough of Columbia and the SR 34 and Sunnyside Intersection Improvement project in District 8.

Outside of the office, Scott enjoys spending time with his friends, traveling, going to Phillies games, playing soccer, golfing, and running.

Information Technology (IT) Chair - Jesse Gormley, P.E.

Jesse has worked as a Bridge Engineer for Pennoni Associates Inc. for six years in their Philadelphia headquarters, where he performs design, inspection, retrofit, and monitoring of bridges. He attended Drexel University where he graduated in 2010 with his BS in Architectural Engineering and his MS in Civil (Structural) Engineering. He is a licensed Professional Engineer in PA.

In his free time, Jesse is an avid Ultimate Frisbee player and runner. He also enjoys playing soccer, guitar, attending local concerts, and watching the awesome Philly sports teams tear competition apart.

Public Relations (PR) Chair - Meredith Lis, E.I.T

Meredith works at the Delaware Valley Regional Planning Commission on various trail projects in the region, coordinating between design consultants and PennDOT for projects receiving federal funding. Before DVRPC, Meredith was a highway engineer at Pennoni. Meredith graduated from MIT in 2012 with a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering. At MIT, she was a member of the ASCE student chapter, MIT's Steel Bridge team, and the lightweight crew team. In her spare time Meredith enjoys biking, running, hiking, and all sorts of water sports.

Social Media Chair - Brian Einstein

Brian graduated from Widener University with his BS in Civil Engineering degree with a minor in Environmental Engineering. He has been working for Johnson, Mirmiran, & Thompson in their Construction Management Division for the last two years. Brian began his career as a Construction Inspector on PennDOT's District 6-0 SR0095 GR3 $210 Million project to reconstruct I-95 in North Philadelphia. Now, Brian is the Office Engineer for JMT on their DRPA Walt Whitman Bridge Painting project. He will be starting his Masters of Civil Engineering degree program in the fall of 2016.

In his free time, Brian coaches boy’s lacrosse at Lenape High School in South Jersey. He also enjoys exercising, spending time with family, and hanging out with friends.

Professional Development Chair - Joseph Natale, M.C.E., P.E.

Joe received his Bachelors and Masters of Civil Engineering at the University of Delaware, and is a registered Professional Engineer. He currently works as a structural engineer at Parsons Brinckerhoff, in their Philadelphia office. Prior to joining the private sector, Joe spent five years at the Delaware Department of Transportation in their Bridge Design section. His primary areas of expertise are steel and concrete design, engineering software, and geometric roadway design. Joe also has experience with project quantities and cost estimates, hydraulic modeling and design, and utility coordination.

In his spare time, Joe is a photographer and computer tinkerer. He also enjoys running, concerts, and football, though primarily he only cares about the Eagles.

Social Events Chair - Kristin Leese, P.E.

Kristin attended Villanova University where she earned both Bachelor (2006) and Master (2008) of Science in Civil Engineering degrees. Kristin became a Registered Professional Engineer in the State of Pennsylvania in 2013. Kristin currently works as the Senior Engineer of Structures in the Bridge Production/Construction Department at Amtrak. In this role, she is responsible for managing capital projects and capital construction gangs along the Northeast Corridor between Washington DC and New York. Kristin has earned prior experience at Amtrak in performing bridge inspections and designing structural repairs for bridge and building members. Prior to starting her career at Amtrak, she worked for Walker Parking Consultants, performing design calculations for foundations and precast concrete parking structures.

Kristin is also an active member of AREMA (American Railway Engineering and Maintenance-of-Way Association). In her free time, Kristin enjoys spending time with family and friends, playing softball, attending Philly sports games, and wandering the city.

Social Events Chair - Mike Zettlemoyer, Esquire, E.I.T.

Mike graduated from the University of Delaware in 2005 with a Bachelor of Civil Engineering degree while serving as the President of the American Society of Civil Engineers (University of Delaware student chapter) and conducting undergraduate research for Dr. Michael Chajes. Mike then graduated from the University of Delaware in 2007 with a Master of Civil Engineering degree, concentrating in Structural Engineering and Bridge Engineering, and writing his thesis under Dr. Jennifer Righman McConnell. Mike earned his law degree from The Earle Mack School of Law at Drexel University.

Prior to practicing law, Mike worked as a Structural Engineer, and was involved in a variety of project management, structural analysis, and design projects, as well as forensic engineering investigations.

Mike's legal practice draws on his engineering and legal education and experience, and focuses on the representation of design professionals and others involved in the construction industry. In addition, he is frequently involved in seminars and lectures on professional liability issues for design professionals in conjunction with various professional societies. He is licensed to practice law in Pennsylvania and New Jersey.

Technical Events Chair - Jeremy Pampuch, P.E.

Jeremy is currently a structural bridge engineer with RK&K in their King of Prussia office. Since joining the bridge design group, he has been involved with multiple PENNDOT & PTC projects that include Replacement of SR 22 over the Lehigh River & Canal ($72 million), Relocation of SR 441($12 million), and multiple Design Build projects($200 million+). He has conducted construction support services, rehabilitation and final design services of multiple steel and prestressed concrete superstructure bridges throughout the NJ, NY, DE, NC, & PA areas.

Prior to working with RK&K, Jeremy was a co-op & full-time Junior Engineer with Gannet Fleming's, Mt. Laurel, NJ office. There he gained bridge & structural design experience with his involvement with multiple NJTA, GSP, NJDOT, & NJ Transit new and rehabilitation design projects, that included on-site inspections. He later moved to NY to increase his design and field inspection & construction experience with NYDOT, NYCDOT, & LADOTD.

Jeremy graduated from Widener University in 2009 with a BSCE, with additional graduate courses providing a concentration in structural engineering. During his time at Widener, he was an active member of the ASCE student chapter and was VP his final year.

In his spare time, Jeremy can be found riding his bike, hiking, and skeet shooting, and he enjoys attending live concerts.

Outreach Committee (Chaired by Vice President):

Civil Engineering (CivE) Club Chair - Zach Suralik, E.I.T.

Zach graduated from Rutgers University in 2009 with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering. He is a highway engineer for STV Incorporated in the Philadelphia office. His main focus is highway engineering, drainage design and stormwater management. He has worked on projects such as the Pennsylvania Turnpike widening and the widening of Interstate 95. He has also done research for the Center for Advanced Infrastructure and Transportation on ground penetrating radar.

In his spare time, Zach enjoys hanging out with family and friends, playing tennis, mountain biking, and going to concerts. He also is a huge New York Jets and Yankees fan.

Civil Engineering (CivE) Club Chair - Kevin Walsh

Kevin graduated from Temple University in 2014 with his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering degree. Kevin held both private and public engineering and inspection internships while pursuing his civil engineering degree. Kevin works in the Transportation Division of Pennoni Associates as a graduate highway and traffic engineer at the Philadelphia headquarters.

In his free time, Kevin enjoys golfing, cooking, biking and traveling.

College Contact Chair - Eammon Farley, E.I.T.

Eammon was a HOP/Signal Engineer with Traffic Planning & Design, Inc. in their Pottstown office. He was with TPD for three years. Before joining TPD full-time, he gained experience interning at PennDOT District 4-0 and A&E Construction, Inc. Eammon has worked on a variety of projects that require Highway Occupancy Permits to be obtained from PennDOT. He also does signal work ranging from new signals to the retiming of existing traffic signal systems.

In his spare time he enjoys golf, swimming, softball, Philadelphia sporting events, and hanging out with friends and family.

College Contact Chair - Paige Glassman, E.I.T.

Paige graduated from University of Delaware in 2013 with a B.S. in Civil Engineering. In college, she was a member of the engineering and technical science sorority and conducted research combining dance and drama into STEM education. Paige works as a traffic engineer at Pennoni Associates Inc. in Philadelphia.

In her spare time, Paige enjoys going down the shore, spending time with family and friends, and watching Philadelphia sports teams.

Community Service Chair - Brett Coleman, P.E.

Brett graduated from Widener University in 2008 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering. Prior to graduation, he gained experience interning at Traffic Planning and Design, Inc. (TPD). Since gradation he worked at TPD in the transportation planning department for the first two years and since has transitioned to the structures design group. Over the past few years in the structures design group, Brett has worked on various new structures, bridge replacements and bridge rehabilitations for PennDOT, Chester County and the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission.

In his spare time he enjoys fishing, snowboarding, playing sports, riding jet skis and going to the beach. He also likes the mysteries and challenges of taking objects apart and trying to reconstruct them.

Community Service Chair - Jon Miller

Jon is currently seeking a new opportunity. He is a Drexel grad with experience in civil engineering (structural, bridges, highway, traffic, rail) and construction (estimating, project management, site inspections). He recently recevied his Masters in Engineering Management in order to learn more of the business side of our industry.

K-12 Outreach Chair - Charles Mumford

Charlie graduated from Temple University in 2007 with a B.A. in Hebrew Studies and LGBT Studies. Since then, he has worked in strategic planning, politics, grassroots campaigns and education in multiple regions across the US. Charlie has also lived and worked abroad in Israel and Mexico. Fueled by an inner passion for mathematics and problem solving, Charlie returned to Temple University for a second Bachelor’s degree, a B.S. in Civil Engineering. Upon his return to Temple, he held TA positions in Statics, Civil Engineering Materials and Soil Mechanics Lab. Charlie served as team leader for his Senior Design Project, working alongside the Philadelphia Department of Streets to analyze and re-design the superstructure of the current adjacent box beam bridge that carries Tabor Road across Tacony Creek. Charlie also delivered the commencement speech upon graduating from Temple’s College of Engineering this past December of 2015.

Charlie is currently seeking opportunities in either structural or transportation engineering and is eager to embark on this new career path.

In his spare time, Charlie enjoys biking, spending time with friends, exploring the city, watching quality reality television, playing Catan and taking his dog Munchy to all the great parks that Philadelphia has to offer. Charlie is also an avid beach goer.

K-12 Outreach Chair - Katrina Lawrence

Katrina graduated from Georgia Tech in 2010 with a B.S. in Civil Engineering. Currently, she works for the Delaware Valley Regional Planning Commission (DVRPC). There she serves as a Project Manager for PennDOT’s local and non-traditional projects. Prior to joining DVRPC, Katrina worked for the Georgia Department of Transportation in Atlanta, Ga.

Outside of the office Katrina likes to travel, bike, and attend sporting events (preferably the Yankees) with her family and friends.


Past President - Drew Sirianni, P.E.

Drew graduated from Drexel University in 2006 with a B.S. in Civil Engineering. After graduation he worked in the highway design group at McMahon Associates, and in 2014 he started as a staff engineer with Pennoni Associates in Philadelphia. Drew’s professional experience is in general roadway design, often specializing in the area of highway occupancy/access design for private and public clients, in both Pennsylvania and New Jersey. Drew has also been heavily involved throughout his career in the area of ADA-accessible design as it pertains to streets and sidewalks.

In his spare time, Drew enjoys activities such as: running, fishing, Phillies games, and going “down the shore".

Second Past President - Chris Gray, P.E.

Chris earned his Bachelor of Civil Engineering degree from Penn State University in 2005. He is the Director or Operations for Timothy Haahs & Associates, Inc. in Blue Bell, PA where he specializes in parking garage design. Some key projects Chris has been involved with include the “Wave” Parking Garage in Atlantic City, the Towson Town Center Garage Expansion, the Camden County Improvement Authority Parking Garage and numerous parking garage restoration projects.

Chris has served on the YMF Board for the past 8 years filling the role of community service co-chair as well as assistant secretary, secretary, vice president, and president. He has helped to organize events with Canstruction, Friends of the Wissahickon (FOW), Winter Social, and the Young Engineer's Social with Engineer's Week. Chris is also an active board member of the International Concrete Repair Institute, Delaware Valley Chapter, where he has served on the Board for the past 4 years including, most recently as the chapter president. His involvement with this organization as well as ASCE has helped satiate his passion for ensuring concrete structures are properly maintained and restored.

In his spare time, Chris enjoys socializing with his friends and playing sports. He is an avid Ultimate Frisbee player and plays in the Philadelphia Area Disc Alliance (PADA). Chris also enjoys going to Phillies games and other Philadelphia-area sporting events.
